dedmanshootn > still an interesting and beautiful flower 10/20/08 used the on camera flash for this as i got home after dark but had scoped this out earlier for a potential dp. had a much better day than feared, or even hoped. even found kind grace at the border crossing both ways. love it when things go impossibly well, reminds me to be humble and grateful every day. didn't take my camera with me as wanted as little potential problems at the border and other things i was doing. saw some really beautiful things i'd've like to try to shoot. chiefly a gorgeous japanese ornamental maple with the sun shining through its leaves. photography is kinda like fishing, there's always the big one that got away. have a great week all
dedmanshootn > same tulips, different day 05/04/08 this is the same tulip bed as my 04/28/08 shot but under much different conditions. the day here is overcast, tho still fairly bright, and breezy. i waited for moments when things appeared still and shot. i was testing settings again and like this the best
dedmanshootn > mini me and my fam 10/28/08 i tried touching these scans up a bit with my meager skills in elements. i go at elements the same way i go at digital in general: pick some settings, push the button, see what happens and make note of it. from left to right these are me about one and DOD, me about two with mum and dad, me about five with my sis. the response to my shadow sp quite overwhelmed me. i sent an e- mentioning such to my sis her response is quite good i think. look on yesterday's pic's comments for 'quinn' if you care to see it. there have been so many great pics and comments lately. much appreciated as i've been a bit down, physically and emotionally, lately and have so much appreciated being able to share in such beauty and fun. thanks and blessings to you all

dedmanshootn > fun flock of funky fungi 11/13/09 this would;ve been much better if i could've gotten it from lower down and not had to use a falsh. concitions were not such tho so... i quite like seeing the many types of fungi there are, as long as its not in my apartment ;-) . have a great week-end all
