dedmanshootn > embossed foil wrapping paper 09/04/09 this is the exact shot from yesterday only i applied pp to get this look. amamzed myself and gvot something close to what i was trying for ;-) . i've always loved the fancy embossed wrapping paper and medalions etc so tried to create my own. smug was in maintanence mode when i came back to look and comment so didn't get to do it last night. shall hopefully have time and energy today. thanks so much for you kind comments onm yesterdays and the encouragement with my foot etc. it is a privilege to be involved with so many talented and just plain nice people. bless you all

dedmanshootn > sunny late summer leaves 09/03/09 sorry i was awol yesterday. worked despite the migraine and foot (the foot's healing just slower than when i wore a younger man's shoes and the migraine has finally broken thankfully) and totally crashed and burned when i got home. sat down after walking in and next i knew it was four hours later so i ate, returned a couple needed e-mails and then went to bed. shall hopefully catch up some on what's been shot in the dailies, didn't even flick a quick glance through yesterday, after work today - unless the same happens again. this is from back when my sis and i went to the mtns but it needed some glare spots fixed so i just got it done today for a daily. not carrying my cam right now as focusing all energy on getting back to swing of things at work. on that note i might as well have taken my cam today as my head apparently didn't come to work with the rest of me ;-) . let someone know what they mean to you today altered version here: http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/Art/the-altered-picture/6557446_Dw2t8#638251896_cAW2B
dedmanshootn > sycamore (probably) blossoms and freshly popped leaves 04/23/08 i don't know for sure what this is but the man mowing the yard told me its a sycamore tree. the leaves literally came out of the bud with the sunshine today. i was fascinated by the fine hairs in both the leaves and blossoms. i wish a had an actual macro lens though probably wouldn't have done any better as my tripod was holding down the fort at home while i walked to do some errands
dedmanshootn > 8 petaled cherry blossom cherry blossoms usually have 5, occasionally 6, petals so i was surprised when i noticed this one with 8.
dedmanshootn > fabulous flower (natural) 2of2 09/01/08 this was shot one hour after (i was on my way back up the hill after buying groceries and noticed the sun highlighting it and just HAD to shoot again) the flash shot in number one. i just had to post two as the differences between the flash and natural light are quite amazing i think
