dedmanshootn > bbd 06/26/08 hershy wanted a 'happy' pic after yesterdays 'depression' (which was foil tho not b&w just shot with contrast and brightness set very low and less than ambient flash, i wanted it even duller in tone and the darks darker and had tried to create a hint of prison bars with the not quite there vertical lines but ...) so i took advantage of a quick break at work today to snap this. those of you familiar with my dailies will recognize the little boss who was happy to see her friends as she's been having a very tough week. she actually had to go to the e-room sunday for treatment for a severe allergy attack and had to miss swimming lessons all this week as a result. the bbd is not for bigger better deal but for brianna, bogie and dan. dan is a good friend and customer of ours who usually brings bogie for a visit when he comes for lunch. bogie is a delightful and well behaved patterdale terrier and brianna just adores him. bogie is a pro at mooching treats from my boss too

dedmanshootn > self-portrait in front of the fireplace, fairhaven library 06/06/08 one of the reasons, besides the wonderful staff, that the fairhaven library is one of my favorite places to go in town. i manually preset the focus on the chair then set the camera on my bag on a table and shot with available light - which is why the light is two colors as there's lovely long windows behind me. for those of you who liked the dark colors of yesterdays dp i reshot more of the whole bed which you can see - and there's pics from inside, including a bigger view of the area in this shot, (and ouside) the library too - http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4855371_JgWrE#308101796_y8W58

dedmanshootn > veggie dog with grilled onions and kraut 05/30/08 my fav hotdog vendor, who has a cart conveniently located next to the bus stop i always use when i go to the library. best caramelized onions and saurkrout in town and four kinds of dogs, two meat and two veggie. always remembers who you are and usually has the baseball scores for those of us who are portable audio device unenhanced
