dedmanshootn > we had a bit of rain 11/17/09 we had a wicked wind storm last night and quite a bit of wind for the past several days. when it finally rained it poured. this probably dropped in about two to three hours. sorry i've been awol. nothing too serious just the usual suspects acting up a bit more than usual alas. that and a couple times when i had energy i didn't want to turn on the puter because the wind was blipping the power. mine only actually went off briefly a couple times but quite a few people were out for several hours. i was up in the middle of the night the other day while it was gusting pretty good and i saw a good dozen transformers blow in about an hour and a half before i went back to sleep. aprtment dwelling insomniacs fireworks, sorta, sideways ;-) . hope y'all are doiing grand. shall hopefully be able to check out a bit of what i've been missing but at least wanted to let y'all know i'm still alive and kickin. thanks so much for all the kind comments on the snapdragons and also for the e-mails. blessings on all of good will to see previous dailies click here: http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/Other/the-daily-picture/

dedmanshootn > tiniest mums i ever saw 11/06/09 this isn't a very good shot becaquse the light was low and i shot one-handed so my thumb could show scale but i thought these were too cool to pass up. also very cool that they were bloominh in nov! found some more foods i can't eat due to changed recipes affecdting my allergies. they're putting corn in just about everything these days alas. am going to have to read every single label thouroughly on every single thing i buy i guess, even things i've been buying for years. can't imagine why in the world they'd use high fructose corns syrup in canned soup all of a sudden but there ya go. spent most of last night and this morning in fair distress because of it but am coming out the other side now so thought i'd get this up. shot it the other day but not going out today so using it anyway. have a great week-end. i'll be looking through pics as i'm able. for you little boss fans there's some new shots by her in her "current" gallery (in my 'featured galleries' this week-end) to see previous dailies click here: http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/Other/the-daily-picture/
dedmanshootn > late autumn leaf 11/05/09 "my day started well, then i got up" saw a bit of the remake of 'freaky friday' on disney channel last night before i fell asleep and this line caught my ear. kinda fits my week, sorta sideways. thought i was starting well til i threw up :-( sorry i've missed the past few days but had the nasty flu that's going around. doing a lot better but still feel more or less like i fell down a flight of stairs. made it down the stairs and did some laundry but rather than stick you with another laundry room pic i snapped one of the last trees with leaves left around my building while the sun was out. hope you're having a much better week than i've been. shall be looking and commenting as i have energy. really looking forward to that. smile at someone for no particular reason today to see previous dailies click here: http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/Other/the-daily-picture/

dedmanshootn > sunny fall trees 09/18/09 th3ese were conviently across the street from the bus stop and looked so pretty in the sun i thought they'd do nicely for a dp. hope y'all have a great week-end. i'm posting early (eight pm thursday) and off to bed as i have a very busy day coming up
dedmanshootn > stalking the pink anemone 09/16/09 my typing may be even less clear than normal but i shall do my best. missed the whiole day yesterday a;as. i won't gross you with the details, actually i was so zonked i don't reallty remember which is a blessing i'm thiningm but apparently one of my fav grain items has changed recipes to include corn vbran. i didn't check the label because i've eaten it for a long time. didn't even realize what the problem was yntil about seven last night when i was finally aware and awake enough to realize i was having allergic reaction and to what instead of the flu i thought it was. took the last of my 'kong' size allergy pills and it began helpinf right away so now i'm just weak and shaky. didn't even so much as run through the dailies once yesterday but plan to make up the lack for a while now before i need to sleep some more before work. fortunately work is a short shift today so i should be ok there anbd maybe even have some energy to smug tonight. ovbiosly didn't take pics yesterday but did just process this one i shot at the library the same time as the pink cosmos from the other day. the stalks in the left look like cravb eyes to me and having learned when i posted a pic of these flowers previously that they're called anemones i kinda, especially now with my eyes half-crossed already anyway, thought it was a bit like a detail from an underwater scene. probably more like water on the brain but.... hope your week's started off much better than moine and ends even better than it started and is full of joy
