dedmanshootn > funny place to find waldo 09/20/09 i always love walking by here on my way to my local camera/photolab store ( http://www.quicksilverphotolab.com/ , a very friendly, knowledgable, helpful staff and a consignment section where i've found some very good deals.) this is right downtown only threee blocks from where i live. the owners of this building took the little bit of area beside it and turned it into a chicken run, garden and small play area for their kids rather thabn the usual parking or junk storage. it always makes me smile to see a bit of 'the farm' right here in the city. there's a full-size shot of waldo at the link below http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4696303_KWZA6#655054511_ReEBg

dedmanshootn > mallard ice cream 07/05/08 this fine ice cream shop is just a few blocks from my apartment, right downtown. they make their own from fresh ingredients. DOD is the ice cream fiend in the family and when he'd get the urge while visiting this is where we'd go. i really like this painting by their emergency exit

dedmanshootn > hmmmmmmmmmm 07/22/09 sorry to have been awol. had some fair to middlin serious debilitating reactions and allergies and just couldn't muster energy or will to do much but lay and survive. am doing some better now and shall hopefully be able to do some looking and commenting. did want to at least get a pic posted. actually shot this for monday but as mentioned just couldn't get er done til now. this one made me laugh, hope it does you too. to those of you who were expecting me to finish the pics you've been waiting for this week i do so apologize. i'll hopefully be better able to get on those now also. sorry for the continued delay. hope everyone is having a great week and, if i may steal from bill & ted, "be excellent to each other"
