i didn't get out today afterall alas, over the flu no worries just the usual suspects, so you're getting another i was working for me monochrome gallery. many thanks to http://dirkster.smugmug.com/ for reminding me i forgot to put a link to the original for yesterday's b&w flower so i'm including it below for those interested as he was. did this one strictly b&w so there is no original to see. many thanks to all who commented on my flower. i was quite overwhelmed. have been reallu enjoying the great pics and recent daily members. there is a recent smug member whose work you might want to check out. he's a fellow local and has some beautiful local scenery shots. i really like his eye. laugh out loud at least twice today

thanks for all the interesting comments on my 'crisper'. y'all are the best. forgot to reply to ??s in the mural yesrterday so: the faces are representations of actual people here in town and a couple of them were suprised to appear there. was totally overcast and rainy today and i didn;t fget out at all so you;re getting this one that i was getting ready for my b&w gallery instead of anything new. thanks again for the well wishes, y'all are far too kind. i think i;ve shaken the flu. hope your week's starting great!

before regrigeration was prevelant lots of homes and apartments had through the wall cubbies like this to keep fruits and vegetables fresher. my apartment is around ninty years old and still has many of the original fixtures including: murphy bed, cupboards and cabinets, ice box fixture, heat radiator, this 'keeper', and the bathroom fixtures. y'all daily peeps have seen many of them as i tend to shoot something 'homey' when i don't get out but actually have a bit of creative energy. have tried many of this and not liked a one but the sprouting onion gave me a bit of a push so.... the onion sprouting surprised me as stuff normally keeps for a long time, especially in the winter, but i left it in the plastic bag, i partially removed it for the pic, which i don't normally do and i think the bag had a bit of a greenhouse effect. this wall gets the afternoon sun, which you can see on the towel i use to cut the draft - as you might imagine the long years of our windy, wet climate have caused the door that covers this to warp. i liked this treatment best but the original is on the link below for those interested. thanks for the well-wishes. not one-hundred per cent, or even what normally passes as that for me, but i think i'm down to only one den of cubs at least ;-) . ruminate on your many blessings for at least a few minutes today and remember to maximize the positive and minimize the negative each day and in each person you meet

this was on my way to work. couldn't resist a quick snap for a daily. hope it makes you smile as it did me. sorry for not commenting or even really looking at dailies much today. my knees and hips are just too too tonight. i'm posting way early then a hot as i can get it soak in the tub and then horizontal. shall catch what i've missed, and i know there's some good stuff out there as always, as soon as i can. smile at several people today

more and more things are deciding its spring so y'all can probably expect flower or bud shots any time i get out. just wanted to say thank you again fpr the little boss. i don;t think there's a much better thing to do in this world than heklp make a kid happy and y'all have certainly done that. that's made me and the rest of her fam happy too. happiness is like that. just seems to spread out like ripples in a pond. try to be happy today

didn't get out today at all, pretty much only left horizontal to do some daily pic diving - some great stuff by y'all wonderful folks as usual, so you're getting this one i shot in the cam walk with the little boss saturday. i couldn't resist taking the cam back for a moment because the sun highlighted this one so well. glad you got a chuckle from the latte as i did. many thanks to all who've looked at and commented on the little boss's pics. you've really made her happy, bless you. close your eyes for five minutes and just let mind and body relax

had a busy day which included taking the little boss for a quick cam walk. there's new pics in her gallery for those interested. she wanted her folks to see her cool tower but they were very busy prepping so a shot her with it so they could see later. for y'all that saw the 'project homeless' dp (03/04) i heard from them and thought you'd like to know that six-hundred-seventy-nine people were served that day! big kudos to all involved in making it such a success! take at least a half hour to just veg today

it was super bright sunny but with a brisk chilly wind that made getting anything sharp difficult but i was so glad to be able to be out and just enjoy a bit of time taking my cam for a walk. energy only lasted an hour but it was like a whole nights sleep. made my whole week. hope you're having a grand week-end. tell someone you love them today

this was the sight taht greeted me this morning as i sat in my 'home' bus stop waiting to go to work. this site had the dentistry and a free bbq lunch at the ywca, out the left of the shot. there were other locations around town with free medical and mental health services for the homless. there was also a 'fair' where reps from the various local organizations that provide help for the homeless were available to raise awareness. there were lots of local volunteers out to help as needed as well as the medical teams international folks. to make transportation easy the wta provided two days of free bus rides for all riders yesterday and today. see the links below for more info. to my fellow daily pics peeps i apologize for not being around to comment and for posting way late. just one of those days and i'm off to bed now. looking forward to catching up on whats been posted asap. forgive yourself for something today
